Tour Itinerary

Starting off your customized expedition from either your hotel or port as an experienced Egyptologist accompanies you during this private tour; thus it is your choice on how long to remain at every enchanting site so that you can have a rare yet meaningful experience.

Alexandria was established in 312 B.C by illustrious conqueror Alexander the Great, hence becoming the center of Greco-Roman Egypt. Your adventure kicks off with a trip into the subterranean beauty of Catacombs of Kom El-Shokafa, a burial ground where Egyptian and Roman artistry blend together into such mind-blowing forms. Enter these tombs to discover the mysterious Hall of Caracalla, an ancient remnant deep down below the surface of history.

Once we go back above ground, the Alexandria Library will be waiting with its modern architectural beauty. This great Norwegian-designed piece of art is a great contrast to the old ruins that can be seen all over Egypt. Among the best libraries in the world, this library has a copy of each published book and displays exhibitions about Egyptian history with also an impressive range of rare manuscripts (with added fee).

Your journey ends at the mighty Qaitbay Fortress which stands on top of what once used to be a site for the Great Lighthouse in Alexandria. Take in these panoramic views and feel how weighty is history before being driven back to your hotel in Alex where you have all sorts of things going through your mind after such an exploring day.

Absolutely mind blowing. A definite must see. We flew from Aswan after I contact them, as I did not want to sit in car for hours with my 10-year-old daughter. Just so much history and ancient love. You cannot miss this one thing if you are in Cairo. The rocks are just HUGE, so special.

Our trip to was wonderful. The accommodations and travel was seamlessly arranged by customer service rep, Mona, and we visited so many of the famous Egyptian antiquities. I would not have done the trip without the very knowledgeable guides, Ashraf and Mamdouh
