BOOK OF THE EARTH A later version of the sun god’s journey through the Underworld, the Book of the Earth was created during the Twentieth Dynasty(1186–1069 B.c.). It has four sections profusely illustrated with scenes of the Underworld. The Book of the Earth appears in the burial chambers of Ramses VI, VII, and IX in the VALLEY OF THE KING.
