Attractions El Minya Amarna one Day Tour
If you are interested in visiting a great archeological site but not widely visited among traditional and classical attractions, Your Egypt Tours offers you this great chance. Go for one day tour to El Minya, which was the capital of Egypt during the reign of Akhenaten and Nefertiti and their son Tut Ankh Amun. Upon arriving there after 4 hours drive south, you will get on a motorboat to cross the Nile. Your Egyptologist tour guide will accompany you to explain all about Tel Al Amarna, the capital city during the time of Akhnaton, Nefertiti, and King Tut.
After having a full idea about Monotheism and why the capital was moved from Luxor to Amarna, you will go to Beni Hassan, where many nobles' tombs were discovered there such as the tombs of Bakhet, the tomb of Kathy, and Khnumhotep. Those are the Middle Kingdom tombs.
Then, you will have lunch in a local restaurant before driving back to Cairo.
