Tour Itinerary

With Your Egypt Tours, you will visit the Giza pyramids and Sphinx, the Step pyramid of Sakkara, the ancient capital of Sakkara, Memphis, and Dahshour.

Discover the magic of Giza excursions and explore the famous Giza pyramids area and Sphinx. You will start visiting the symbol of the Eternity and the only wonder that still survives among the seven wonders of the ancient world, the Great Pyramid of Cheops (Khufu). It is certainly one of the most important monuments of ancient Egypt. A masterpiece of fabricated structure and architecture, you will be overwhelmed by the huge size of its blocks, the height, and the age that exceeded 4600 years.

While you stare at this great monument, your guide will explain fully the history of the area including the other pyramids, of Chephren and Mycerinus, answer all your questions and give you free time for photography. You will have the chance to take pictures of the area including all the pyramids from the panorama area.).

You will spend more than two hours in the area so that you can have enough time to do some extras like entering one of the pyramid's chambers and visiting the Sun boat museum. (All upon your request for an extra cost). You may like to have fun and explore the edge of the desert by having a camel ride around the area. (For extra cost).

Moving to the Sphinx of Giza area where you will spend some time exploring this monolith statue, which symbolizes the power and wisdom of the pharaoh as the statue, was carved as a lion's body and the head of the pharaoh. Next to the Sphinx area, you will visit the valley temple where you will learn about mummification in ancient Egypt.

Sakkara was the main necropolis of the old kingdom era. It is a great archeological site where the famous and multi-titled architect Imhotep built the oldest pyramid in Egypt. The first stone structure is 4800 years and was erected in the form of huge solid steps on top of each. (The name Step Pyramid is quite suitable). You will learn in the complex the step pyramid the development of the royal tomb structure.

Your tour guide will accompany you inside one of the tombs of the nobles (tomb of Kagmini) to see murals reflecting daily life activities in ancient Egypt. Moreover, you have the chance to enter the pyramid of Titi, where you can see the oldest form of the pyramid text on the chamber walls (4340 years old.

Memphis is your second destination to visit the open-air museum in the city. In Memphis, you will see the second-largest Sphinx in Egypt, known as the alabaster Sphinx, the lying colossus of Ramses II that is a masterpiece and a strong proof of how Egyptian sculpture reached its peak. You will also see many more monuments dug in this great city. Memphis was the first capital city of Egypt after the unity of the Southern and Northern kingdoms. Enjoy all the beautiful monuments on display in the open museum.

The next stop will be at Dahshour, this archeological site is five miles away from Sakkara. There are three pyramids in this untrodden place: the Bent pyramid, the North, and the Red pyramid. Both belong to the pharaoh Snefru, the founder of the 4th dynasty while the third pyramid belongs to his wife Queen Step Heres.

In this place, you will visit the bent pyramid, which was the first try to develop the shape of the Step pyramids. This pyramid looks fascinating with its two-level form and its beautiful soft casing layer. Move around this pyramid and have a look at the small pyramid of the queen.

Then, stop at the Red or North pyramid. This one is the first true and complete pyramid in ancient Egypt. You will be told about the development of the royal tomb structure in the Old Kingdom. You can enter the chamber of this pyramid, which is quite an experience to go through the narrow tunnel to the chamber.

At the end of the tour, drive back to your hotel. book now your Egypt trips.

Be sure to stay at the pyramids of Giza for at least three hours. That way, you'll have plenty of time to get into the pyramid, look at the view from the top, and take a picture with the sphinx. If you're in Cairo for the day, you should definitely check out both the pyramids and the Egyptian Museum.

It costs 200 Egyptian pounds (11 US dollars) to just take a look at the pyramids during Giza day tours. On the other hand, you can pay 400 Egyptian pounds (22 US dollars) to enter the Great Pyramid. The site is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily from October to March and from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily from April to September.

Exploring the pyramids on your own is one of our favorite things to do in Giza, and we believe it will be easy to do with a tour guide if you need to discover the secrets of the place and know its history, also the tour guide will help you with photography.

The walk up the Great Pyramid's Grand Gallery can be a hot and crowded experience, so if you are claustrophobic or have a general dislike of crowds, this activity is not for you. Despite this, we were able to make it through and consider it a worthwhile experience. However, the Grand Gallery is crowded and there is not much to see inside the pyramid.

The price of camel rides in Egypt is set at 50 Egyptian pounds (approximately $3 USD) per 30 minutes. This price is indicated by a sign at the entrance of the area and can be pointed out to visitors who are having difficulty obtaining a reasonable price from touts.

Absolutely mind blowing. A definite must see. We flew from Aswan after I contact them, as I did not want to sit in car for hours with my 10-year-old daughter. Just so much history and ancient love. You cannot miss this one thing if you are in Cairo. The rocks are just HUGE, so special.
