Tour Itinerary

Set off on a journey to Luxor in the company of your personal Egyptologist guide to explore the famous attractions in Edfu and Kom Ombo.

Arrive at Edfu Temple and prepare to explore one of Egypt’s most well-preserved temples. This temple was dedicated to Horus, the falcon-headed god, and contains many depictions of him through sculptures and reliefs that decorate this amazing temple. This temple features many other reliefs that your personal guide will familiarize you with, providing you with a rich background and insight.

Continue to Kom Ombo, one of the most unique temples of Egypt. This temple was dedicated to two separate deities of the ancient Egyptian pantheon, Horus and Sobek. The temple has two entrances, one for each of the two deities. The temple is situated on elevated ground near the Nile making for an excellent view. Venture into the main hall of the temple which contains columns and pylons which are richly decorated with reliefs and hieroglyphics illustrating the mythology of the two deities.

At the end of the tour, return to Luxor to unwind for the day, or continue onto your next adventure with Your Egypt Tours.

Being in Luxor for a single day is preferable to staying away. The main attractions in Luxor may be seen in one day. You can go to Hatshepsut Temple, the Valley of the Kings, Karnak Temple, and possibly one or two other monuments on a day excursion to Luxor. The truthful response would be that a day trip to Luxor is insufficient.

It is frequently described as the largest open-air museum in the world and for a good cause. You may find a ton of ruins, monuments, temples, and tombs there. You'll need at least two days of Egypt day tours to discover all that Luxor has to offer without feeling rushed.

Unless you travel with a tour group, visiting Luxor on your own can be rather stressful. Luxor has so many archaeological sites and things to do that touring each temple and cemetery may take several days and a lot of money!

There are no set meter rates for cabs in Luxor, although depending on your negotiation skills, the majority of journeys will cost between 5 and 150 Egyptian pounds (approximately $0.50 to $17). Uber and other ride-hailing services are not available in Luxor.

You should set aside about $200 for Luxor excursions, which would likely involve visiting the Luxor and Karnak Temples. West Bank Temples and the Valley of Kings and Queens. Felucca rides at sunset.

Your Egypt Tours Reviews

Travel has helped us to understand the meaning of life and it has helped us become better people. Each time we travel, we see the world with new eyes.

Absolutely mind blowing. A definite must see. We flew from Aswan after I contact them, as I did not want to sit in car for hours with my 10-year-old daughter. Just so much history and ancient love. You cannot miss this one thing if you are in Cairo. The rocks are just HUGE, so special.

I recently traveled with my wife, daughter, son in law and two grandsons (ages 4 and 2). We had a private tour experience. From the moment we landed at the airport on our arrival to the day we left we were treated with the utmost care and attention

Our trip to was wonderful. The accommodations and travel was seamlessly arranged by customer service rep, Mona, and we visited so many of the famous Egyptian antiquities. I would not have done the trip without the very knowledgeable guides, Ashraf and Mamdouh
