This payment will be 50% during the Christmas and New Year holidays and on packages including airfare. This deposit counts as part of your final payment. Paragraph 2720 of the Egyptian Public Order No. 2720, which covers the entire Egyptian territory, permits a person to use any type of camera (including personal video cameras) for the purpose of taking personal photographs in most public places in Egypt without prior authorization of the Egyptian authorities.
Inside the Egyptian Museum, private photography is allowed after paying the museum entrance fee.
This pass applies to all the tombs in the Valley of the Kings except for Seti I and the Tutankhamun Tomb. If you're planning to take videos on your phone, you'll need to buy a photo pass too. If you're looking to take pics with a camera at Seti I or at Tutankhamun, you'll need a commercial pass.
You can take photos inside the Great Pyramids of Giza using your cellphone for free. However, photographing with a camera is not permitted within the Great Pyramid.
