You will be picked up from your hotel in Hurghada by a comfortable, air-conditioned van and transferred to Hurghada Airport for a short flight to Cairo. Upon arrival, your professional Egyptologist guide will meet you and escort you on a journey through Egypt’s rich history.
Your tour begins with a visit to the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM), the world’s largest museum dedicated to a single civilization. The museum showcases Egypt’s most important masterpieces, including monumental statues, royal artifacts, and the complete treasures of King Tutankhamun, displayed together for the first time in a modern and immersive setting. Your guide will introduce the highlights before giving you free time to explore the galleries at your own pace.
Next, continue to one of Cairo’s most iconic Islamic landmarks, the Alabaster Mosque of Mohamed Ali, located inside the Citadel of Salah El-Din. Perched on a limestone hill overlooking the city, the mosque is famous for its elegant design and alabaster-clad interior. Inside, your guide will explain the mosque’s architectural features and introduce you to the basic principles of the Islamic faith.
Afterward, head to the lively Khan El Khalili Bazaar, Cairo’s most famous market. Your guide will introduce you to the area before allowing free time to wander through the maze of streets and shops, browse traditional handicrafts, and practice your bargaining skills while shopping for souvenirs.
