We awoke early to see the spectacular Edfu temple. This massive masterpiece of creation, dedicated to the falcon deity Horus, houses some of the world's most treasured and valuable stones. We arrive at the magnificent Temple of Edfu shortly before dawn. This historical landmark offers an intriguing glimpse into the past. Horus, the most prosperous falcon deity, is here.
We'll need a filling breakfast before traveling to the well-known Kom Ombo. Horus the Elder, also known as Haroeis, the Falcon God, has a temple dedicated to him. Sobek, the cosmic creator and fertility deity, marks the opposite side as the Crocodile. After an excellent lunch and fascinating historical sights, end the day with an outstanding night.
